Alrighty then! Now that ye've all been playin' this game fer a while, a bunch o' you swabs have come forward with some alternative rules that take Sea Rats! te new levels o' priacy. We've taken the best o' the best and posted 'em here. Check back on occasion; we're sure te post more!

Ghost Ships
The object is te be the first cap'n te sink 10 (or some other predetermined number) ships. Game play follows the standard Sea Rats! rules, with these exceptions:

Treasure Hunt
This is kinda like Ghost Ships, with a few twists. The object is te be the first ship te score 10 (or some other predetermined number) points by delivering the treasure te ports o' call.

Caribbean Hold 'Em

If ye got some doubloons te spare, this one's fer you (thanks te Rob in San Diego):

A variation o' Ghost Ships, players "buy" ships from the "bank." When ships are sunk, the victor withdraws the ship's value from the bank. Te make things more interestin', players can decide te raise the stakes each hour o' play, continuin' until the money runs out (or everyone falls asleep from all the rum they've been drinkin').

Speakin' o' rum, here's another variation o' Ghost Ships: The "Unofficial" Drinkin' Rules (thanks te Tim in Chicago).

Just add rum, ale, or whatever ye got on hand. Whenever ye lose a battle, take a swig. If yer ship sinks, take two!
